Season 22 Week 8

We have now completed season 22. And what a season it has been.

In the final week of season 22, the VPL hosted 22 people.

This week was as intense as it can ever get.

We had the points race which came down to 4 people.

The two points leaders (114 each) were both blinded in from the start.

The next two in line (102 each) were live players.

This has a very interesting ending.

This has been on of the most exciting seasons yet. I want to thank everyone who has participated in season 22.

Now down to the real business at hand.

The bubble list:

David, Andrew, Angela and Tim

The final week had a final pin and that pin belonged to Andrew.

Andrew had to say goodbye in 4th place.

Money time:

Angela, David and Tim

3rd place with a win of $37 went to: Angela

Heads-Up: David and Tim

David came into the battle the chip leader.

Being short stacked, Tim fought a good battle. It just wasn't enough.

Tim took 2nd place with a win of $93.

David won the final week of season 22 with the chip and $187.

Congratulations to Tim for Qualifying for the TOC.

David had previously qualified.

Okay to the points race:

James and Clay both were being blinded in from the start.

Both players were at opposite tables:

Both players were all-in essentially at the same time.

When the tables were evened out, the table with Clay on it had to re-draw for dealer. (they gained a player).

This re-draw caused the blinds to change. Clay was hit with the blinds before James.

Back to the all-in. Both all-in in the blind. James was all-in with $150 and Clay was all-in with $75.

The official ruling is: Because both players went out in the same hand, the player with the most chips going into it gets the points.

In this case, James had $!50 and Clay had $75.

Clay received 10 points and James received 11.

This caused the final points to be Clay 124 and James 125.

James had the most points at the end of week 8.

James wins the points (back to back seasons) with a win of $314.

Congratulations to James.

This season also saw 8 people get over 100 points.

Since Tim qualified this week there are 14 players qualified for the TOC:

The payout for the TOC (if all 14 players show up):

1st: $376
2nd: $188
3rd: $113
4th: $ 75

Out of the 14 players there are 6 previous bracelet winners.

Who will take the bracelet for season 22.

You know the drill...........................come next week to find out.

Good luck everyone.
